Manfred Gerstenfeld, PhD

Manfred Gerstenfeld was born in Vienna, grew up in Amsterdam and moved to Israel in 1968. He has a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Amsterdam and served as an officer in the Israeli Army. He has served on the boards of several Israeli companies, including the Israel Corporation.
Gerstenfeld was an editor of The Jewish Political Studies Review, co-publisher of the Jerusalem Letter/Viewpoints, Post-Holocaust and Anti-Semitism and Changing Jewish Communities and a member of the council of the Foundation for Research of Dutch Jewry, of which he was formerly the vice-chairman. He is a member of the Board of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and served as Board Chair from 2000 until 2012. Gerstenfeld is the 2012 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Journal for the Study of Antisemitism.
Author of over 20 books, one of his most recent is Demonizing Israel and the Jews (RVP Press, 2013).
